Dear Valsa, The poem 'Death' was indeed written in a moment of extreme dejection during my mothers illness in the year 1962 or thereabout. In fact there is a saying in Punjabi, which my mother often used to say viz 'Aap marey jag parlo' meaning 'for the dying man it's doomsday' and that is what I tried to express in the eyes of man seeking end of pain through death.
I assume that this was written in a moment of dejection! Hope that phase is over and now you bask in bright sunlight! Enjoyed! !
A sorrowful poem of death and the ending of pain. Losing a love one is a very painful feeling. It is only through our fond memories that we experience healing. Joy will come again.
