Invocation Poem by Dibakar Purkayastha

Invocation

All those lily and frangipani
clustered in my garden
closed their Petal;
Sky became mute and
Rainbow lost behind dark cloud
Sun dosed off behind silhouette
of unpropitious nemesis
The hand I clasped now fell asunder
My love is shrouded in white linen and
My lifeless corpse is lying for burial.

Will you come there, where I am buried?
Will I germinate in next year with seed
of new hope instead of despair?
With only freshness of love and no hate
With new conscience and benevolence
to mother earth.

Oh mother earth! Raise me, welcome me
with drop of your bliss, preeminent me.
