Invisible Sacrifices Poem by Laura arwen

Invisible Sacrifices

In my next
life I don't
make sacrifices
Everyone should make
sacrifices for the
community
They are heavy
and too difficult
to manage
Sometimes no sacrifices
for a better
life
Life should be
full of sacrifices
It is shameful
to sacrifice oneself
for someone or
for a protest
They destroy the
desires of an
alternative life
Probably they drive
me to death
I loose energy
to follow them
They destroy a
happy life
We are all
weakened by sacrifices
or attempts to
avoid them
They are a
continuous presence of
my terrible life
We don't need
them but maybe
some sacrifices are
necessary to grow
up
They make me
sick and frustrated
I'm really impotent
about them because
they govern my
life
