Inventory Control Poem by M.J. Lemon

Inventory Control

Rating: 5.0

count the words
arrange them
so they make sense

remove the rotten, fetid
like one bad apple
the whole cornucopia
might be made to rot

release to the world
the word. Even if there's
just one buyer

make sure to get back
more, much more if possible,
than what was
pushed out

3) My friend, Kerouac In Spirit is presently reaping a meager harvest, but it will become abundant! ! !

2) M.J., I have found that with the editing of just one word in my poetry about Kerouac, it can change the whole meaning of the poem. It's much more evident with The Kerouac Venture than with my other poems.

Absolutely, Richard. One simple word added or deleted can be responsible for creating or shaping an entirely different universe. The same might be said for the placing of some basic punctuation, a simple comma.
