2) M.J., I have found that with the editing of just one word in my poetry about Kerouac, it can change the whole meaning of the poem. It's much more evident with The Kerouac Venture than with my other poems.
Absolutely, Richard. One simple word added or deleted can be responsible for creating or shaping an entirely different universe. The same might be said for the placing of some basic punctuation, a simple comma.
