Bill's imagination soars in contemplation. That is what one has to do to enjoy a poem, but it has to come with one's own experience. Following Bill's instruction won't do a thing. I am writing this with my own recent experience with one simple ancient word- OUM not even the whole poem.

I am a lecturer/professor (=lecturer in the roman countries is the same as professor title) bit a problem for me to go back to my students years, but this poem is very imaginable for persons who write poetry. Hilarious undertone, but.....of course excellent!

I taught this poem in CompII. The reference to author's connedtion to reader was applied across other poems of distinction we studied. A wonderful teaching poem.

A magnificent journey as i imagined the mouse's nasty hasty move catching my attention unyil i was thrown off board to realise the truth of encaptivating meaning and torturous understanding domain. I have no words to admire the most beautiful work. Into my favourite.

I say drop a mouse into a poem and watch him probe his way out, or walk inside the poem's room and feel the walls for a light switch. Great imagination. tony
