I throw my soul into the flame
Intoxicate my mind with smoke
Let my body wander
Dizzy are my senses with sounds unfamiliar
Gibbing are the words of the buiteful demons sat beside me
Accusing are the eyes of the angels above me
One such demon comes, sits, watches and waits
The demon sees and grasps the open opportunity and takes me away
To his fiery palace he takes me encouriging words I here
'come here beside me you beauty'
I stand fast not yeilding, still he persists
Intriguing are his words
'you are just like me you are' he chimes
Until I give in, a single tear slipping past my defenses
He asks
'why do you cry? '
I say but these words
'for you have taken not just my soul but my heart aswell....'

Excellent. A personal, deeply sad and dark poem that doesn't have a hint of asking for sympathy. It unfolds in a tragically beautiful way. The last line explodes in it's shocking sensitivity. Great poem -M
