Intellectually Tight Quarters Poem by Hippo Bass

Intellectually Tight Quarters

What a cascade of opinions and views

I scream I howl I shriek
Me me me me me and above all they
They do not understand does not matter
They need to shut up
That is what they should
I will explain one more time
But they too stupid to understand
Crappy gibberish and drivel
I cannot stand it must use violence
Verbally but preferably bullets
Matching fashion pointed white hoods

I hear this shocked see distorted faces
Filled with hate fury and emotional nothingness
Why go back where go back
Hurt and anger grow hold back
Cannot get through unheard
Need support and backup and study
Little involvement even less compassion
Why are people so ignorant
Why so many opinions and so few facts
Why this thinly veiled hostility
Should I not be here displaced by them
Perplexing inextricable must be strong
