Happy ONAM. The words of wisdom delivered remind me what to do. Such reminders are needed time and again. What if others said before? It does not matter. Repeat them again and again in words of your own.

Do WE ever need a celebration like ONAM - it's on my calendar from now on! More significantly I'm posting it in my heart. VISIT SOMEONE WHO IS DESOLATE AND LONELY - My best friend of 50 years is confined to a rehab center because of a traumatic brain injury; for 1 1/2 years I visit him once a week, he recognizes me, calls me by name, but there is no further sharing of memories or conversation. I read him every new poem I write, I read him poems he has written in the past - no discernible response. Seeing these desolate lonely visits in the context of ONAM will be an immeasurable help to me. As we say at PoemHunter, thanks for sharing, Valsa!
