Beauty
whether living or non-living
a spontaneous outburst of pleasure
in our brain cells, molecular
triggering into
competition
obsession
love
desire to acquire
greed
jealousy
a potential to create unrest
and war...the list goes on...
O Almighty
make beauty a temporary passion
a short-lived feeling
make it a source of inspiration
to do something for the mankind
the lotus looks best in the pond
the hibiscus charms in the plant
the bird at its best while flying
the mango attracts in the tree
let the beauty prevail!
but let it not overwhelm me:
let it not blind my wisdom
let the feelings pervade peaceful co-existence
cooling off my nerves
let it fill my mind with the thought:
' I am also beautiful! '
that will be the best tribute to beauty.
