INSOMNIA

Today i am very very grotty
Tried to sleep but sleep i could not-ly
I tossed and turned
Many candles burned
Scared of witches hoity toity

INSOMNIA

I- tried to catch forty winks
N-ot as simple as you thinks
S-tars kept me company tonight
O-ver the moon the cow tried
M-ooing and jumping till i sleep
N-ot a chance eyes awake i keep
I-n the morning the cheerful sun
A-gain blew out my candle pun

Good nights

Shrinks say it is a dibillitating disease,

but i go through it severally with ease

Listening to the changes in the mood of the night

The hoo hoo hooting owl feeling alright

I can hear night dwellers gleefully coming out

Making a mockery of my wish for silence i just wanna shout

A cicada doing its utmost to compete with a cricket

Late night imbibers staggering home on their feet rickety.

I try to play videos in my mind to bore my brain to sleep

All i do is scare myself awake some more with horror scripts.

Then by the dead of night it becomes deathly silent.

Like all creatures great and small are scared of a tyrant.

Like all creatures great and small have no insect and human rights.

As for me, all i wish for and look forward to, are good nights.
