As amazing as she is, so are you. This is such a passionate poem. So perfectly executed. Bravo!
The eyes, they say, are a window to the soul. You also define how they are a gateway to a special universe.
I was captivated by the title, and the flood of images that followed kept me enthralled line after line. Truly a remarkable distillation of the complex reality of existence captured in the glint of an eye. A delight to read and contemplate, dear poet. Bravo.
This is such a stunning write about love. Here is a love that awakens the soul to a surrealistic state. Two souls merge together and dissolve as a singular identity, making them born again to be consumed by a new fire of love! Great depth, Pamela!

I read the first line and thought what it meant. As I read further all started to make sense. Just a deep sense of where these feelings were coming from and where all is going. The photograph that your mother took has to be very special! Thanks for sharing.

A stunning poem Jette. Valsa's comment 'love that awakens the soul to a surrealistic state ' has aptly described this relationship. And.... 'Everything grows from this leaving' How powerful this sentence is because in a sense we do grow so much from experiencing separation. And this: 'And I forgive you for your darkness, your light… for leaving me and never letting me go'. WOW...10+
