Insecurities Poem by April Humason

Insecurities

Reveal my truth, and I fear you'll be heartbroken,
But please don't hate me, for love's bond was once spoken.
Your romantic words pull me close, entwined,
Leaving me bare and broken, longing for a love redefined.

Taste my insecurities, mend my shattered soul,
Piece me back together, to make me once again whole.
Though we can't erase the past, we can face our strife,
Chase away our demons, and build a stronger life.

In this dance of romance, let's find the perfect tune,
Feed me the right words, as we stroll beneath the moon.
Lead me to forgiveness, for you hold the key,
You've always had the deed to my heart, you see.

So I make this earnest plead, for my loneliness to be freed,
Or else my brokenness will bleed, a wound that won't recede.
Let's heal together, hand in hand, with love to bind,
Embrace the future we'll create, leaving the past behind.
