Insanity Comments

I like the way the second stanza is the voice itself of one of these scoundrels who displays no awareness of his corruption and is irritated - that's it! He has no personality beyond coveting his position, no passion, no love, no burning issues. Just the power he jealously grips. In a pinch, confronted by someone with the energy of life, with a sense of meaning and purpose, this non-entity would simply dissolve.

This election- alas! But this, too, shall pass! Long live the Republic- and her fervent advocate- Sandra the Magnificent!
