Innocence Poem by uder pressure

Innocence

Ten years old and we all wish
we were 20. Who new the difference
at such an innocent age.
If we did we’d never say
such things. Keep things simple.
Only having to worry about wether
he or she didn’t like us or falling
on our bycicle just seconds
from our home.
And we had the comfort
Of knowing sympathy.
We never imagined such responsibility
and so much pain. Nothing
that can’t be handled but only
wished we didn’t have to.
Only short periods of sadness
in a young life but growing
longer and longer as the years progress.
