'Ink And Emotions: A Diary's Tale' (With Portuguese Translate) Poem by CHERRY GADINGAN

'Ink And Emotions: A Diary's Tale' (With Portuguese Translate)

Dear diary, my confidant so true,
In pages blank, my thoughts I'll share with you.
You've seen my laughter, heard my tears,
Through the passing days and fleeting years.

I've a tale to tell, a heartache deep,
A secret locked inside, I'll gently keep.
For there's someone, a love so grand,
But I must let go, though hard to understand.

The mind above, the heart below,
A constant struggle, as feelings ebb and flow.
I know it's right, this choice I make,
Though my heart in sorrow, for their sake.

I fear the day when I'm far away,
And they're left with the pain, come what may.
I've glimpsed the future, a tearful sight,
I pray they find strength, in the darkest night.

Their messages, a testament, so pure,
Their love, respect, forever endure.
They treat me like royalty, a cherished grace,
Even as I prepare to leave this place.

It's a painful path, I must tread alone,
For a love untamed, now overthrown.
I yearn to hold them, in the moon's soft gleam,
But reality whispers, 'tis but a dream.

I love them dearly, oh diary, so true,
But destiny calls, and I must bid adieu.
In time, I hope they'll come to see,
The strength within, and set their spirit free.

Yours sincerely,
[Cherry]

A mente acima, o coração abaixo,

Mas o destino chama, e devo me despedir.
Com o tempo, espero que eles vejam,
A força interior deles e libertem seu espírito.

Atenciosamente,
Cherry

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Reading these words, you can sense the depth of emotion and conflict within the writer's heart. It's a poignant reflection on the complexities of love and the sacrifices one sometimes has to make for the well-being of someone they care deeply about. The writer's inner struggle is palpable, torn between their own feelings and a profound concern for the other person's happiness. It's clear that they've thought long and hard about their decision to let go, recognizing that it's the right choice even though it causes them immense pain. This is a testament to their selflessness and the depth of their love. The analogy of the mind and heart, with the mind being responsible for rational decision-making and the heart often leading us astray with emotions, is a powerful one. It reflects the universal human experience of grappling with tough choices that go against what the heart desires. The writer's appreciation for the person they are leaving behind is evident. The description of this person's kindness, love, and respect paints a vivid picture of their character and the connection they share. The internal conflict is heightened by this deep appreciation, making the decision to let go even more challenging. The poem also hints at the writer's fear of leaving a lasting impact on the other person, causing them to suffer or lose their sanity. It's a weighty burden to bear, and it underscores the writer's love and concern for the well-being of the other person. In the end, the writer is resigned to the inevitability of their departure, accepting that there's nothing more they can do. This poem is a testament to the complexity of human relationships, the sacrifices we make for the sake of others, and the profound emotions that can accompany difficult decisions.
