Good question Dennis.
Are he distant galaxies we see with our huge telescopes real galaxies or just rainbows of dispersed light that are magnified by our sophisticated tools? If a simple cloud between us and the horizon can make a magnificent rainbow, how can we with great certainty interpret what we see lightyears away? Is it all really expanding? If it is expanding, means gowing bigger, it is perhaps not infinite yet. Or is the expansion just part of a temporary oscillation (perhaps a few thousand years of expansion and then a few thousand years of shrinking?) . Was there really a big bang? And then, are there more planets harbouring life. I think there are. In the meant time, let's keep writing inspiring poetry that perhaps will magically transform our own world into a nice place to be for everyone living on earth.
Wow, Dennis, your excellent poem really casued a train of thoughts and a wonderful dream in my head.
