'Stork White' and 'Elephant Grey, ' I love that stanza. Few words to convey a powerful concept.
A subject that only a woman could write about properly... Possibly, a subject that only Sue Stone could have written about in such a direct and relevant style. Top notch writing, as always.
Exquisitely written, Sue! I admire your ability to climb into the skin of another and have it fit so well. How sad that the speaker in the poem believes the last two lines. I see infertility as an option for adoption of a previously unloved and/or disadvantaged and/or abused child and an evening out of inconsistencies.
This poem rings so true.. I wrote one on infertility too, called Stop the Rain, I feel ur pain.
