Wow that was amazing....infatuation can be there one minute gone the next, I can really relate to this poem! I especially liked the concluding verse: The flame that leapt within my heart Is now a dying ember And as I look into your eyes That flame I can`t remember You are a really talented writer! Keep up the good work!
What can I say that hasn't been said. Infatuation can be thrilling.
A perfect beauty. One can hear and feel the rhythm as the picture unfolds.10
Like it, infatuation can be a funny thing, it can stay a life time or it can last one fleeting moment. A fantastic poem. May I invite you to read my new poem called, I Was Always Told.
This poem is captivating; tugs at my heart as well. Infatuation and true love is like comparing onions to roses
You breathe such effortless lines. The flame that leapt within my heart Is now a dying ember And as I look into your eyes That flame I can`t remember
valerie i love the flow and meaning of this...so true, it is easy to be bedazzled then stop and realise it was nothing more than an enticing pair of shoes, , nice to look at but ruddy uncomfortable
A good poem well expressed, it comes and almost as inexplicably it goes.
Oh Valerie so beautiful, the purity of love the flame so strong and than ego comes and human nature takes over, love so deeply inflamed is just a shadow still burning but overpowered by something else. Sublime as always! love, kasia

So true to much in life Val, love ends for many that way. lovely write.
reminded of ny younger years, of crushes abd infatuation. an enjoyable write.
teenager true...beautifully put loved reading it... makes for some great poetic merit :)
Excellently written yet very sad expose of disappointment in events or individuals we at first wish to emulate then eventually castigate.
How true! Momentary infatuation can die out too soon and it becomes an ember unable to ignite a flame!
Just Wow! What an excellent write Val.
