Infant Democracy And

Infant democracy and
Monday,29th July 2019

I was born barely a few months before
the independence was declared
the Britishers did not dare
to hold on for a longer period

the whole of the country was up in arms
but never intended to cause any harm
Gandhiji had disobedience programme
and warned them (Britishers)to quit

freedom is that we all dream
and work towards achieving it as a team
we don't know how much was the suffering
but as true Indian, we had no angry attitude

we inherited infant democracy
where the country had a high rate of illiteracy
it was cast ridden society
yet the country had the full resolve to assert universally

slowly from the land of the snake charmers,
it has risen to the state of satellite launchers
it has become self-reliant in many fields
and holds the prominent position

so freedom is so much important
where it is in the position to present
the true picture of rural India
and take on hand an unfinished agenda
