Sovereign Lord!
Grant me an inexhaustible theme
That I may sing forever and ever
Accompanied by multiple myriad tones
In all seasons of varied hues
Grant me also an inexhaustible voice
Forgive me O Lord my ego vainglorious
Let me confess I shall be content just to be an angel
And won't insist on supremacy or captaincy
''Vanity of vanities, all is vanity''
Thy words reverberate thunderous
But O Lord, could we dismiss the world entire?
Was it not Thyself who put in us longings immortal?
Would it suit thy compassionate self to disown us?
Forgive these wonderings, and, lead us to the light of your face
