Indian Summer, How To Beat It? Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Indian Summer, How To Beat It?

Take you sherbet
Or lassi,
Salad with food
Sliced cucumber and onion
And green chilly and salt
Sprinkled over
And with sauce.

Indian summer,
Swim you into the pools
And the river
Or rest you under the groves,
Under the cool banyan tee shades
Or the peepul tree shades.

Take you ripe mangoes,
Varying in tastes,
Black berries,
Indian wooden bel,
Palm pulp,
Kend fruit.
