India's Messengers Of God Poem by narayana aghalaya

India's Messengers Of God

India's messengers of God (limerick)
.
a glimpse of the Baba, and soon
the faithful are over the moon
their souls sold in toto
a frenzy they get into
he will grant their wishes as a boon
.
these Babas hold a lot of sway
over their faithful all the way
if, one has, rational.mind
in danger, oneself may find
hitmen are killers, better, keep away
.
they live like mafiaso in fortresses
inside one, will be under much duress
drugs, wealth and much crime
the underworld's lucre and grime
a pity, these jail birds, none can arrest
.
Governments have miserably failed
often, in gloves, their hands are laid
India gets a bad name
as these goons, none can tame
we, in disgust, to turn away, are trained
.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
There are many Babas in India, who are in reality criminals, duping millions of people, posing as their Gods. Governments have failed to put these goons behind bars.India gets a bad name in the comity of nations!
lucre-wealth from dishonest means; grime-dirt; it is dirty wealth
