Brian, this is very visual. I liked it. It portrayed autumn very well. I also got the feeling that you wished you were one of those leaves being carried away to somewhere else by the wind. Great write. Thanks for sharing it. David

Just a trace perhaps of a wistful wish that you could follow in this lovely depiction of autumn, and a matching state of mind. jim

It's nice when the wind blows them back this way everyonce in a while. My oldest leaf, I mean daughter is roaming quite far but in physical distance only. I guess I'm going through half an empty nest syndrome as still have one more to go, it seems to soon. I love this poem, it speaks to me of the cycle of nature...the cycle of life. All the best, Diane

I love the simplicity of this poem, the images you have created and the strength it conveys in the last line. This poem made me long for Autumn - my favourite time of the year. Justine

Since little kidhood, watching the leaves change, blow and wander has been one of my favorite things... There is such reward in noticing the little things. You capture this spirit beautifully, Brian, thank you. Esther : ]

Beautifully simple as the 'independent' and simple motion of a leaf. Beautiful rhyme. My favourite by you. Susie.

I enjoyed this very much Brian. I like the flow of it as well as the beautiful images it stirs up. I'm looking forward to Fall and it's a little bit chilly here this evening so this was especially nice right now. Sincerely, mary
