COMPARABLE TO FALLING IN LOVE - Yes, I am in complete harmony with you. Last spring a Minnesota painter was engaged by the Minnesota Orchestra to paint a series of landscapes in response to the nature music of Claude Debussy. She amazed us with the sensitivity of her work, perfectly matched to works like NOCTURNES, AFTERNOON OF THE FAUN, THE BLESSED DAMMOISELLE (on a poem by Gabriel Rossetti) , FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW, WHAT THE WEST WIND TOLD ME, etc. Each canvas was a specific
place in Minnesota linked to a specific work by Debussy. The night the orchestra played Debussy's IMAGES FOR ORCHESTRA, I toured the exhibit and talked to the artist. A beautiful woman, a beautiful soul, a beautiful
art. Truly, the consequences of art are incredible! I wish you could have seen the TRUTH OF YOUR POEM in
that exhibit: your eyes refreshed, your soul lifted - HOPE RESTORED.
