In Your Dreams Poem by Randy McClave

When you're tossing and turning and you just can't sleep
When you become so exhausted you just wanna weep,
And when you become so tired you just don't know what to do
Think of this, someone is dreaming about you.
You are in someone else's dreams or thoughts
That is why you just can't sleep even after taking pills, or shots,
That is why your tossing and turning for goodness sake
And that is why you are not asleep, but still wide awake.

While you're in your bed and you're still tossing and turning
While for sleep your body is still desperately yearning,
You need to snooze and you need to slumber
While counting sheep, you are at the one million plus number.
Your heart now hurts and your weary eyes begin to ache
Sadly, even after saying your prayers you are still wide awake,
So, instead of taking more pills or to continue drinking
Think about this, why about you is someone still thinking.
