In The Woods Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

In The Woods

I watch the green expanse
In awe as my breath seeks
For a nest within its periphery

Sometimes, I like to be alone
Lying on the rotten leaves
To dream of my rotten past

But the sound is there that
Comes filtering down through
High boughs to wake me up

To the reality of the danger
That inhabits each step as I
Come out to feel the sunshine

I really like this one Tiku, as it is a step away from your usual love poems, nicely done. Annette ;)
