Merged, you and I, my love, seal the silence while the sea destroys its continual forms, .....we bear the sole, relentless tenderness/// excellent, most expressive; we the human, the being of tolerance everything in continual destruction of life; in this poem the deep struggle of human is hidden through the destroyer sea waves// great poem penned

O magnolia radiance breaking in spume, magnetic voyager whose death flowers and returns, eternal, to being and nothingness: shattered brine, dazzling leap of the ocean. Magnificent!

In the wave-strike over unquiet stones the brightness bursts and bears the rose and the ring of water contracts to a cluster to one drop of azure brine that falls. What an imagery these words are able to conjure up! Magical,

“In the Wave-Strike Over Unquiet Stones”, expresses how romantic love fades. Like the waves of the ocean, Neruda expresses romantic love ebbing and flowing. [Tambl]

I really regret Pablo Neruda's death, the more poems he could have written!

Poems such as this literally take my breath away...such exquisite imagery, staggering yet reveals another aspect of nature & love; Neruda is such a beautiful poet, sane and perceptive, sober yet taken with divine eloquence...
