In The Stage Of Darkness
In the negative state,
in the stage of darkness,
there is a sort of moral dereliction.
The self cannot control
its inclinations and thoughts.
In the general psychic turmoil,
all the evil part of man's inheritance,
all the lower impulses and unworthy ideas
which have long been imprisoned
below the threshold, force their way
into the field of consciousness.
