In The Shadow Of The Cross

Rating: 5.0

In The Shadow of the Cross

In the shadow of the cross
I wipe a tear away
And think of those rejecting Him
What will they do that day
When summoned before their Maker
To give account for all their living
The full realization taking effect
How they should have been thanksgiving

That emptiness with all its horror
That proof with reality
The nail prints in His hands, His feet
The piercing sword mark of Calvary
Then to be separated forever
From the Lamb that for sinner's was slain
An eternal regret to live with now
A tormenting that will never end

Lord energize me by Thy Spirit
To live my life for Thee
To have a compassionate heart for others
To share what will set them free
And give out love as a daily practice
For not my will but Thine
That souls may be saved as a result
May it be the chief prayer of mine!
