'When we stood there, closer than all?' 'Well, the harvest moon
Was shining and queer in your hair, and it turned my head.'
'That made you?' 'Yes.' 'Just the moon and the light it made

'I thought you loved me.' 'No, it was only fun.' This line says it all. Delusion.

Confused by the love shown to him, it's his insecurities. She is only a mirror to him and poor thing doesn't understand it..yet.

I would give this poem a ten but PH hasn't allowed me to rank a poem in a month or so.

Every teenage girl should have to memorize this piece, do a research paper on it and the effects of teenage on the rest of her life in all the realms that characterize a female's life. Because this poem really reveals the truth about boys at this age in their life and perhaps all the rest of their life. I liked the style of this wise poem.

Appreciate that he chose simple words and conveyed a deep essence out of it.. It's well descriptive romantic tragedy narrated to convey the common truth that underlies most of the youth love relations.. Clearly, it makes love gentlest and innocent when girl says with out sharing the outcome of their love. Like the way the boy narrated his side of story, which indicates the fun which is often mistaken as love by innocent girls.. He is an intelligent poet, and intensely emotional too.. Absolutely loved it

this is truly a remarkable piece that shows the 'ugly truth'... i'm not that mean... but i think it shows the harsh reality of the difference in how a man's or a woman's mind/thoughts work in a certain situation... This is a beautiful poem...! ! ^_^ Love it! !

Boyish pleasure is actually animal pleasure enjoyed mostly by all! Muriel Stuart has depicted that very well in this long descriptive poem!
