This poem ends with an ultimate SUFI image: THE WINE MAKING ME SOBER etc. Of course, the paradox has many levels of meaning: wine intoxicates ordinary people but it puts in a perfect emotional state, beyond sobriety and intoxication; it's not wine you drank but poetic inspiration and the result is creativity; or it is divine grace that raises you to this state of contentment. Or it could be something I have thought of. Maybe you saw two parrots huddled together sweetly or you watched a single hawk's effortless flight. And the perfection of the image gave you this MOMENT OF PEACE.

Baharak, this is a sweet and generous poem. By turning a moment into a poem, you extend that moment indefinitely which means your poem is also a gift of peace to those who read and ponder it. And pondering it only increases its good will. I was 99.99% certain you had written a poem, but I didn't want to ask you because of the.01% doubt. So I eagerly read it after you told me that indeed you had written a poem in a place where everyone becomes a poet. Your poem is personal but there is not a trace of egoism in it. You refer to the happiness of other people filling you with delight. And there's a clever Sufi touch in the wine that is really imagination and grace. I can assure you your poem radiates the peace which is its subject. I can feel it here in Minnesota, along the Mississippi River.
