Smoky! Another gem of a write and so true! When I was young one day seemed so full of adventure and excitement and exploration that it seemed two weeks passed by in its 24 hour period. Now the weeks start on one day and end on the next. Thank goodness we stored up so many gems of memories to take out and explore again. Top marks of course!
Wonderful advice, that line: enjoy the moment where you stand. Another excellent poem!

So few words, but so much meaning. We must all be aware and take all life can throw at us. It is such a wonderful world made better by the people in it. Good one Smoky, glad you enjoyed your holiday with your daughter. That is after all what life is about. Those precious memories will tide you over when times may not be as good. Take care old friend.
Smoky, this is a theme I've written several poems on and was thinking about it this very morning. For comparison, and I hope your enjoyment, see 'Let Me Not Say' and 'ode to Now.' -Glen
