In The Kingdom Of The Blind Poem by Shaun Cronick

In The Kingdom Of The Blind

Rating: 5.0

In the kingdom of the blind,
The one-eyed man is king,
If perchance he's a poet,
Hope eternal he will bring.

A respite to all suffering,
Each saddened heart set free.
For even if you're blind,
You can listen to great beauty.

Excellent take on that well known phrase Shaun....as a poet it sometimes it's difficult to keep churning out the 'magic'; especially given the current climate..but one can only try. As I've stated many times previously, I certainly don't think that poetry can change the world, nevertheless I think it can affect an individual's consciousness...anyhow, it's a triumphant ten from me!
