Melvina, if your mother-in-law saw it now she would probably never recognise the place. So many things have changed over the years, not always for the best. There is small pocket that resist change. I can still remember how it was when I came back to England in the late fifties and compared to now I would rather have it then. A wonderful poem though, brought back memories of many years ago. Top Marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
I hope so too Melvina, and if so you must look me up and visit. I'm not in London though, but Derby. But nothing is impossible. A delightful read, and what wonderful stories your Mother-in-law must have of this time of her life. What a great place to work. Loved the read. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
Pure enchantment. Warm, lovely and very connective to the reader. You have my applause, Melvina. Love, Sandra
Melvina...this is wonderful! Did your Mother-In-Law really work at Buckingham Palace. I am going to feel like a nut-case if this was supposed to have some other deep meaning and it went right over my head! lol But, if so...that is amazing and, either way, I love your poem! Happy belated Mother's Day! Sheila
