You say you wish to witness all the shadows in my mind
Let me remind you that in shadow you are blind
Inside all that darkness, in the shadow, I reside
Inside all that horror, all that sadness do I hide
Because deep with in the darkness, in the shadows in my mind
Is where all the answers and all the questions I do find
This terror from which you would think to rescue me
Is the only place in all the world where everything is as I see
There are no hidden meaning behind a monsters growl
No unspoken question in the ancient wolf’s deep howl
Run and leave my to my mind, in the darkness where I hide
Go back to your awful light, which masks all of those lies
Everything in my darkness is exactly as it seems
So go now from my presence and leave me to my dreams
