IN THE COMPANY OF NATURE
As I set out on long walk all alone
to enjoy the feel of bounty of nature.
It isSpring and joy everywhere.
Saw a full blossomed clusters of lotus in the
Pond in hundreds.Birds of various types
were singing as if welcoming the arrival of spring.
The magnificent sight of flock of swans swimming
in pond in their abundance was a real treat to watch on.
Happened to pass by a zoo.was indeed pained to see
voiceless animals in captivity deprived of freedom
they deserves as we human beings.
Dance of leafs on the giants trees were musical to the eyes.
To add to the charms, roaming deer and peacocks inthe forest
made me thing how lucky they are unlike the animals kept in zoo.
What an enchanting greenery; spread miles and miles
of paddy crops with their swings creating waves like syndrome
across the field.
Far off down in the valley I saw a small hut by the side of pond
In the lap of complete serenity away from the noise, rough and tumble
Of city-ideal abode for poets and thinkers alike.
Wow! the sight of the mountain touching the sky covered with ice
Reminds me of a bride waitingfor her groom! !
I went on walking on footpath amidst greenery all around and reached
the sea shore. The evening sun set sight -sky red in hue reminds us ups
and downs integral to our lives.
I sat on sea shore and saw mighty waves coming in full swings and
dashing the shore and returning back with resolve to come back
again.Their struggles are an inspiration for humanity to conquer new
frontiers.
I sat lost in pensive solitude wondering how ungrateful we human
beings are; determined to destroy nature in our insatiable greed
unmindful of our self-destruction.
Oh men! we are not the owner but trustee of mother earth for posterity
