Laurence, this poem reveals your fantastic ability at creating excellent and appropriate rhythm: In sleep, in dreams, I saunter slow, To where all conscious things must go, And ramble on And tumble down And aim for something bright below,
'And ramble on And tumble down And aim for something bright below' This really reminds me of Hamlet's speech, 'For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause.' Beautifully written, vivid imagery, and a true sense of hopefulness within your words. :)
Excellent poem. It makes one want to sleep and dream and write an inspirational piece such as this. Well done!
