Quiet in sleep you lie beside me, my sweet love
Tranquil and relaxed, beauty so astounding
And I watch you marvelling that you love me.
The years have transgressed against us
With me loving you more with each new day.
Being in your presence is my delight and joy
Soulmates journeying together, loving each other
Supporting, encouraging, when one stumbles and falls
Never questioning, rebuking when times are hard
Always seeing light glimmering in the darkness.
You sigh wistfully in your sleep and call my name
Oh, my time with you is precious and honeysuckle
And your beauty and intellect enraptures my heart.
