In Quest For Beauty Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

In Quest For Beauty

"Wow...! " Both baby and bird-
My friend bird, "you're beautiful! "
No dear baby, "you're beautiful! "

‘Friend, you can walk on earth
Swim across the ocean
And still, can fly in the sky
So you look the most beautiful! '

‘No friend baby no, you're rare
Of the rarest specie-female
Sweet and lovely as a baby
In the heavens on this earth
You're so beautiful-
As a friend, sister, or a wife-
Matchless, beyond comparison
As a mother of the creation.'

"No bird no...! "
"No baby no...! "
A serious disagreement-
Somewhere, to be settled
No King, no Judge is needed
A poet they needed to settle it.

Thus, baby and bird came to me
With their hearts full of hopes-
Having, Love and care for each one
Overwhelmed, I entertained and heard.

In memory of the creator-
In serenity, peace and calm
At the sea-shore, I sat as a court
Nature entering into the witness-box.

I decided the typical issue once for all
In one sitting, with no confidence at all
In favour of baby child, against the bird
O' mother, none else but, you're beautiful.
