Loved it! Having been to Paris, having survived divorce, managing to retain trust in love, I could identify with every line of it. Loved it!

You just cannot mention Paris and not think of love! ! ! Cannot wait to experience the city again! Especially at night with the stars out, lovers hand in hand and the winds breezing! ! ! !

Replace each ‘Paris’ with ‘love’. You might see the poem differently

Good one. I have been looking for a poem on Paris for a while, my favourite destination. The way you have linked Paris and love in your poem is amazing.

I fell in love with it. Loved the audio version his voice uhhhhhhh yeah. made me feel alive once more. i felt i was in the hotel with them and felt the true love being portrayed. The women didn't deserve him. He was oing to have his evil way with her. Truly sadening yet thrillling! ! ! ! ! ! Recomend to all poetry lovers. All the lovers that have gone before so don't compare all the loveeerrrrs- kylie monogue #poem love

Ohh... Something very dramatic and expands more the readers' imaginations. It tells something that wants the reader think of that something.

The usual cliches of love poetry are wiped away by the particulars of a shoddy hotel room, and focused on the lover, the reality, the authentic flesh and feeling. No clichesterol. Healthy, tonic. Excellente.

Beautiful poem, really, I am wrriting my PhD Thesis on Fenton´s poetry and this one poem was one of the reasons I wanted to get deeper and deeper into his work. A particular love poem with a verz european atmosphere. Really good stuff.
