In Pains Poem by welkin siskin

In Pains

Did the heart go on
In pains even, like a ghost of night.
Did the mind imagine, despite all
To cast off blindness of light.
Like a moonless hour did the night fall in,
To witness pangs of my own being,
I could not commit a sin.
I waited for a brighter side
Despite nightly hours and the callous ghost
Of the dark, to see through the brighter side of life.
