Very nice poetical description and an evoking art of sensualism and images. A wonderfully mysterious journey°

In Autumn is about the Fall- the season of fall and the fall of man. The words are so well-chosen for the atmosphere of both- trees are tall slim priests, the landscape is brown, the winds moan, all is sadness. Very well written.

Very enjoyable. This one was certainly worth reading. Thanks, Poem Hunter, for selecting it as poem of the day.

A wonderful poem of autumn, just as 'April In the Hills' by the same poet is a wonderful poem of spring.

Autumn, old age, ageing...such certainity..the grey in the color band so beautifully depicted in this poem..the best lines I liked Here I will wait a little; I am weary, Not torn with pain of any lurid hue, But only still and very gray and dreary, Sweet sombre lands, like you. Thanks
