In My Soul's Cathedral Poem by Freni Karaluthara

In My Soul's Cathedral

Rating: 5.0

Once celebrated here the feast of our Love,
within its walls, we stood together,
I placed you there,
a sacred place in the quiet.
You were the melody,
echoing softly in the organ's breath,
and the sacred silence in the cathedral.
You were the poetry I sang to the Mighty,
often a prayer without words.
You were a beautiful painting,
spoke to me in the cathedral's stillness,
and the fragrance of incense rising
to the God of love.
You were the confessional,
where I whispered my grief,
and you wisperd soothing words.
You were the splendor of flowers,
adorning Mary's gentle statue
In my cathedral, I was never alone,
for together, we adored the Mighty.
May He, once again, fill my soul with life.

An exquisitely beautiful poem! True love transcends from material plane to a spiritual plane. It is like a blessings from God and the lover sees his love even in cathedral music or the flowers adorning Mary.A great love poem.
