Oh heavens, what a faithful translation! I am so glad to have found this. I would hardly prefer the original, although in my native language - this version makes my eyes water just the same. Back in February, being in hospital with a rather unpleasant case of pneumonia, I could not get this poem out of my head for the whole week - it is just so beautiful and hopeful. Boris Leonidovitch had excelled himself.
