In His Humble Opinion Poem by james watkin

In His Humble Opinion

Between here, warmly roofed and the street
And its cold starved men
To Good Fortune, not my own judgement
Is it, Life, beholden.

Even for what is uptook thereof
In its daily breath.
For what God bespeaks has the power
O'er it as o'er death.
