In First Looking Up At Me Poem by james watkin

In First Looking Up At Me

True love, and our fascination
With its happy ending scripts
Settings, as ideal
Better left as fables, she thought.
Too unrealistic; unreal.

Lulled to accept as blessing
Contentedly, that slept through
For those bewitchments.
Till hung one day's dawning, outward
The dream lineaments!
