In Defence Of Art And Poetry Poem by DM W

In Defence Of Art And Poetry

Like butterflies trapped in jars, art and poetry:
These symbols of profound beauty, need to be freed.
For they're treated like strangers in a hostile world:
Where love and grace have been replaced by the absurd.

Wonderful poem! Four lines that say so much and so beautifully expressed! Yes, the magnificent Butterflies of Poetry and Art Need to be freed, and become the best part of this absurd world. I totally and joyfully agree. Thank you for this wonderfully, encouraging work of art, Which of my favorite poems, will now become a part.
