In Deepest Need Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

In Deepest Need

Rating: 5.0

In deepest need,
when they can
no longer say
prayers but
complain about
their need and in
exasperating distress,
they actually pray
very intensively.

For when Jesus
teaches his disciples
how to pray, he does
not primarily want to
teach them formulas,
but rather to open
their hearts to God.

I have seen so many praying superficially. Your poem brilliantly conveys them going through the motions of praying. As always, amazing writing, Tony!

Beautifully penned. Yes prayers should come straight from the heart.
