'The message of crickets and its music, Was inspiring the lover to reach at the hut, And he was moving on with a procession, Like a prince of the earth, To the princess of the hut, With millions of glow-worms, Twinkling on the earth like real stars, Silently lighting the path of love! ' Wonderful poem Akhtar sahaab.. As a Bengali, I sort of went back in time during my childhood when I would walk with my maternal grandfather in his paddy fields, spend evenings with my friends in small huts, and the whole night would at times be spent sharing small anecdotes, and chatting with family members in the light of small kerosine lamp.. Beautiful poem.. It is so bad that nowadays, the simplicity of the villages are lost.. Loved it.. Thank you very much :)

What a vivid poetic expression of the beauties of nature! I felt like I was seeing myself in that situation. I recalled somewhat similar experience I had way back in rural Bengal. Wonderful description!

Moon, blue sky, trailing clouds, rainfall, gust of wind, glow worms....... all weave round a magic spell for the prince and princess to be bound in love! Enjoyed!
