In A Surburban Court (Weekends) Poem by james watkin

In A Surburban Court (Weekends)

Does the bearing of each, one to ten
Housing plain men and women
Cast a dignity all of its own;
Out upon a patch, fresh mown.

If not mansion pillared to the sky
Porticoed, up-stepped on high
With new coat of self worth painted o'er
Lured back the royal gardener!
